Ein ergonomisches Gestalten in der Konzeptionsphase kann durchaus kostenneutral oder gar kostensenkend sein.
Während in einer frühen Konzeptionsphase die Möglichkeit für ergonomische Veränderungen – eingedenk noch nicht erfolgter Hardwarerealisierung – noch sehr hoch und preisgünstig ist, nimmt dieses Gestaltungspotential mit steigender Konkretisierung des zu entwickelnden Modells ab;

An ergonomic design within the conception phases can be self-financing or even reduce costs.
During early conception phases – hardware realization has not occur yet – opportunities for ergonomic changes are highly possible and low-priced, whereas the design potentials of the developing model decreases in later phases when products become more and more tangible, and expenses for ergonomic redesign rise tremendously.
